Located between the municipalities of Aurora do Tocantins and Taguatinga (southeast of the state), the Serras Gerais do Tocantins are part of the largest mountain range in Brazil.

SERRA GERAIS ITINERARY

Day 01 – Palmas 

Welcome to Palmas, capital of Tocantins, located in the North of Brazil and with great influence from the Central-West and Northeast regions.

Arrival and transfer from the Airport to the Hotel.

Check in at hotels from 3pm.

Free Day.

Day 02 – Palmas > Nativity

• Departure from Palmas: At a time to be defined.
• Cachoeira do Paraíso: A small trail of approximately 450 meters (level 2 – moderate). The trail is amidst native vegetation, with some rocks and slight unevenness, requiring attention. The place has a beautiful waterfall and a pool for bathing.
• Cachoeira do Amor: Short trail of approximately 300 meters (level 2 – moderate). Similar path to the previous one, with dense vegetation and stretches of damp soil. The destination rewards with crystal clear waters and an enchanting scenery.
• Lunch: Stop for a meal at a local restaurant, with typical regional food (NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE).
• Historic center of Natividade: Guided tour through the cobblestone streets and colonial mansions, learning about the history of the city.
• Goldsmithing: Demonstration of the art of traditional goldsmithing, preserved in the city for generations.
• Ruins of the Church of Slaves: Architectural complex listed by IPHAN in 1987, full of history and symbolism.
• Check-in at the inn and dinner: Accommodation in Natividade. Free night. (DINNER – NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE) 

Day 03 – Nativity > Conception River

• Breakfast at the inn and check-out.
• 17 crossings: Challenging trail that involves 17 river crossings along the route (level 3 – difficult). Trail with sections of light current and the need to cross on foot or over submerged rocks. Requires good physical fitness and balance.
• Brejo Limpo Waterfall: 300-meter trail (level 1 – easy). Short and easy-access trail, leading to a waterfall with refreshing waters. Free time for swimming.
• Lunch: Stop for a meal at a local restaurant. (NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE) 
• Lagoa da Serra: A paradisiacal place with calm waters and stunning scenery. Free time for relaxation and swimming.
• Check-in at the guesthouse and dinner. (DINNER NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE) 

Day 04 – Conception River

• Breakfast at the inn.
• Boia Cross on the Manoel Alves River: Exciting activity going down light rapids on inflatable tubes (level 2 – moderate). Section with small waterfalls and crystal clear waters.
• Lunch: Stop for a meal. (LUNCH – NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE) 
• Free afternoon: Time for rest or optional tours.
• Sunset at Mirante da Serra: Short and easy-access path to the viewpoint, providing an incredible view of the region at sunset. Great for photos.
• Return to the inn and dinner. (DINNER – NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE) 

Day 05 – Conception River > Ponte Alta

• Breakfast at the inn and check-out.
• Enchanted Canyon: Moderate hike of approximately 1 km (level 2 – moderate) to the canyon viewpoint. Spectacular view of rocky walls and lush vegetation.
• Lunch: Stop for a meal. (NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE)
• Stone City: Natural rock formation that resembles a ruined city. Light walk for observation and photos.
• Pelados Waterfall: Small 500-meter trail (level 1 – easy). Quiet path to the waterfall, where there is a pool for bathing.
• Check-in at the guesthouse and dinner. (DINNER – NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE)

Day 06 – Ponte Alta > Palmas

• Breakfast at the inn and check-out.
• Arco do Sol: Impressive rock formation in the shape of an arch. Short and easy to access hike.
• Cachoeira Urubu Rei: Panoramic view of the top of the waterfall, without the need for a long trail.
• Lunch: Stop for a meal. (NOT INCLUDED IN THE PACKAGE) 

Day 07 – Palmas 

Breakfast at the Hotel.

Rooms must be vacated by 11am, regardless of flight departure time.

Transfer to Palmas airport and end of services.

IMPORTANT:

– Luggage allowed for the expedition: 1 backpack with a maximum of 20 liters per person (large, rigid and/or wheeled bags are not permitted)

– It is not permitted to consume drinks or food inside the vehicles, nor is it permitted to share glasses, cutlery, bottles, etc., during the entire expedition.

– The order of visits may be changed, according to operational needs.

– Scheduled times depend on road conditions. Most of the trip is on off-road roads (without asphalt) and therefore subject to situations beyond our control; thus causing variations in the scheduled times; however, we will always count on the prompt assistance of the support team for repairs and solutions to any eventualities.

General Conditions for Package Cancellation:

Cancellation request formalized more than 41 (forty-one) calendar days before the start of the service provision: No cancellation fee will be charged; except if it is a special departure on commemorative dates such as Christmas, New Year's Eve, Carnival, national and local holidays; where a cancellation fee may be charged, which must be expressed in the package at the time of its offer. Cancellation request formalized between 40 (forty) days and 30 (thirty) calendar days before the start of the provision of the service, a fine of 5% (five percent) will be charged on the value of the package. Cancellation request formalized between 29 (twenty-nine) and 21 (twenty-one) days before the start of the provision of the service, a fine of 10% (ten percent) will be charged on the value of the package. Cancellation request formalized between 20 (twenty) and 07 (seven) days before the start of the provision of the service, a fine of 20% (twenty percent) will be charged on the value of the package. Cancellation request formalized less than 07 (seven) days before the start of the provision of the service, a fine of 50% (fifty percent) will be charged on the value of the package. Cancellation request not formalized, characterized by the non-appearance of the CONTRACTOR and other passengers of the reservation, if any: at the beginning of the provision of services (no show), a minimum fine of 50% (fifty percent) to 100% (one hundred percent) will be applied on the value of the package.
